Welcome from Mr. Gee

Meet your teacher. Understand how this course works. Set yourself up to actually finish.

👨🏽‍🏫
👋 Mr. Gee says

Hello. My name is Geevarghese, but everyone calls me Mr. Gee. Welcome. If you are reading this, it means you have decided to learn English. That is the hardest step. The rest is just walking, one small step at a time.

The story

Why I teach English the way I do

When I was younger, I had a student called Anil. He could read English perfectly. He could even pass written tests. But when a stranger asked him a question on the street, he froze. Not because he did not know the words. He knew them. He froze because he had only learned English from a book, not from real life. So the words felt heavy in his mouth.

That day I changed how I teach. We do not memorise rules in cold lists. We learn words inside small stories. We say them out loud. We use them the same day. By the end of a week, the words live in your mouth, not on a page.

So in this course, every lesson has a real story. Every story has the new words inside it. You will read the story, see the words used naturally, and then practise using them yourself. Trust the method. It works for everybody who actually follows it.

1

How this course works

There are four levels: Basic, Intermediate, Advanced, and Mastery. Start at Basic and move up. Do not skip. The levels build on each other like a staircase.

Each lesson is short. About 10 to 15 minutes. Do one lesson per day if you can. Two lessons per day is also fine. More than that, your brain gets full.

At the bottom of every lesson, there is a 'Translate this lesson' button. Click it and choose your language. The whole page will appear in your own tongue, side by side. Use this when you do not understand a sentence. Then read the English again. Slowly. Aloud.

2

One promise from me to you

If you do one lesson a day for 90 days, you will not be the same person. You will read English. You will speak short sentences. You will understand more than you think. I have seen this happen many times. It will happen for you too if you keep showing up.

Now turn the page. Let us begin.

Translation tip

Tip: When you find a word you do not know, write it down in a small notebook with the meaning in your own language. By the end of one week you will have 50 to 100 words. That is enough to make your first real sentences.

Take this with you

Welcome. Trust the method. One lesson a day. We start in the next lesson with the most important 49 words in English.

Mr. Gee's tip of the day

Read aloud every day. Even if it sounds funny. Your tongue needs practice.
